About Our Client

Well established engineering design consultancy firm is recruiting for an experienced Technical Director/Director to lead their design engineering practice for complex, large-scale building projects in Singapore.

Job Description

The Technical Director/Director will play a key leadership role in shaping technical excellence, mentoring teams, and driving innovation across projects. This is a strategic position with a strong focus on design leadership, client engagement, and business development.

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight across multidisciplinary building services projects.
  • Lead the design and delivery of complex projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and innovation.
  • Act as a technical authority in your discipline (electrical or mechanical), supporting project teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with directors and project managers to develop strategic growth plans and win new work.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, representing the firm at a senior level.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and sustainability goals.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
  • Professional Engineer accreditation preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in building services design, with a focus on large-scale, complex projects.
  • Strong portfolio including healthcare, mission-critical (e.g., data centers), and high-rise developments.
  • Proven leadership in technical delivery, team management, and client engagement.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
