Senior Manager, Data Privacy

Singapore Permanent Work from Home or Hybrid View Job Description
This is a senior individual contributor role with real influence over how data protection is embedded across a complex, customer-facing organisation. You will shape privacy strategy, guide stakeholders through regulatory change and help future‑proof the business as data use continues to evolve.
  • Own and strengthen enterprise-wide privacy governance across the region
  • Act as a trusted adviser on PDPA and emerging data protection risks

About Our Client

Our client is a well-established telecommunications and digital services provider headquartered in Singapore, with a strong consumer and enterprise footprint. Operating in a highly regulated environment, the organisation manages large volumes of personal data and continues to invest heavily in governance, cybersecurity and digital innovation. The company is recognised for its strong local brand, commitment to regulatory excellence and collaborative working culture within its corporate functions.

Job Description

  • Lead and continuously enhance the organisation's Data Protection Management Programme
  • Provide pragmatic, risk-based advice on PDPA and regional data protection requirements
  • Establish and operationalise DPIA and privacy risk assessment frameworks
  • Oversee data incident and breach response, including regulatory liaison
  • Drive organisation-wide privacy awareness and training initiatives
  • Partner closely with legal, cybersecurity and risk teams to align governance
  • Support audits, certifications and third-party data protection assessments

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Manager, Data Privacy should have:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with a strong focus on data protection or privacy governance
  • Proven hands-on experience implementing PDPA requirements in complex organisations
  • Track record in areas such as DPIAs, incident response, audits or vendor risk management
  • Professional data protection certification (e.g. CIPP, CIPM or equivalent)
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical business solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams

What's on Offer

  • You will join an organisation that values governance as a strategic enabler rather than a compliance exercise.
  • The role offers strong visibility with senior stakeholders, opportunities to shape regional privacy practices, and exposure to evolving regulatory and technology-driven risks.
  • Employees benefit from structured learning, professional development support, and a collaborative environment that encourages ownership and continuous improvement.
