The Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing customer relationships across Singapore and Southeast Asia while identifying customer needs and recommending suitable transportation and industrial AI solutions. This customer-facing role requires the ability to independently present and demonstrate solutions, acting as a trusted advisor between customers and internal technical teams.

Job Description

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers across Singapore and Southeast Asia.
  • Understand customer operational and business requirements, and recommend suitable railway, fare collection, and urban traffic solutions.
  • Serve as the primary customer-facing technical advisor throughout the sales engagement process.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, solution presentations, and technical discussions with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, project, and pre-sales teams to ensure proposed solutions meet customer needs.
  • Support opportunity development by identifying customer challenges and translating them into solution-based proposals.
  • Gather customer feedback and market insights to support business growth and solution enhancement.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company's transportation solutions and effectively communicate their value to customers.
  • Travel within Southeast Asia as required to support customer meetings, presentations, and business development activities.
  • Promote and present the company's intelligent transportation and industrial AI solutions, helping customers improve operational efficiency, automation, and decision-making capabilities.

The Successful Applicant

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role such as Sales Engineer, Solution Engineer, Application Engineer, Technical Consultant, or Account Manager.
  • Experience managing customer relationships and supporting solution sales engagements.
  • Experience in the railway, rail transit, fare collection, fare gate, signaling, urban traffic, or transportation industry.
  • Exposure to regional customers or projects within Southeast Asia is an advantage.



Technical Knowledge

  • Good understanding of railway signaling systems, Automatic Fare Collection (AFC), fare gate systems, ticketing systems, or urban traffic solutions.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with transportation infrastructure or intelligent transport systems is preferred.

  • Strong customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to independently conduct product demonstrations and solution presentations.
  • Comfortable leading technical discussions with customers and translating business needs into solution recommendations.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a regional environment.
  • Willingness to travel within Southeast Asia as needed.
