Job Description

Process Ownership & Optimisation

  • Lead deep-dive root cause analysis (RCA) on manufacturing challenges
  • Optimise processes to improve yield, throughput, and cost efficiency
  • Evaluate manufacturing methods, materials, and product designs



New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Drive process development and transfer from concept to production
  • Design tooling, fixtures, and assembly methods for new products
  • Support scale-up into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes



Validation & Compliance

  • Lead process validations (IQ/OQ/PQ) and equipment qualifications
  • Ensure full compliance with ISO13485, GMP, and FDA requirements
  • Maintain strong documentation and engineering change control



Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Analyse production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Implement lean, data-driven process improvements (DOE, SPC)
  • Explore and introduce new technologies and manufacturing methods



Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Quality, Operations, Supply Chain)
  • Work closely with leadership to align engineering with business goals

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials or similar)
  • At least 5 years in high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Strong background in:
    • Process engineering & optimisation
    • Root cause analysis (RCA)
    • DOE, SPC, process capability
  • Experience in extrusion (polymer / tubing)
  • Familiarity with:
    • ISO13485 / GMP / FDA
    • Process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ, FMEA, etc.)
