Our client is a reputable Singapore-grown consumer business with an established network of approximately 80 retail outlets and an integrated manufacturing operation. Employing over 500 staff across frontline, production and corporate teams, the organisation has built a strong market presence through operational excellence, customer loyalty and a people-centric culture.

As the business continues to grow and evolve, they are seeking an experienced HR leader to strengthen organisational capability, partner closely with senior management and drive workforce transformation initiatives across the organisation.

Job Description

  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to senior leadership, translating business objectives into practical people strategies.
  • Lead the full spectrum of HR, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and performance management.
  • Develop and execute workforce strategies across retail, manufacturing and corporate functions to ensure business continuity and operational effectiveness.
  • Drive succession planning, leadership development and organisational capability building initiatives.
  • Utilise workforce data and HR analytics to identify trends, improve productivity and support informed business decisions.
  • Lead HR transformation, policy improvements, compliance initiatives and employee engagement programmes.
  • Coach and develop the HR team while building a high-performing and commercially focused HR function.

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
  • Proven experience leading the full spectrum of HR within retail, manufacturing, FMCG or other labour-intensive environments.
  • Strong track record in workforce planning, talent management and organisational development.
  • Experience partnering senior business leaders on strategic people initiatives.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore employment practices, manpower planning and HR compliance.
  • Experience within a local SME, family-owned business or entrepreneurial environment will be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated capability in driving change, influencing stakeholders and improving organisational performance.
