Reporting to the global CEO in the US, the role combines strategy, commercial execution, and organisational leadership across diverse Asian markets.

Our client is a US‑headquartered beverage company with a strong heritage in natural, clean‑label and functional drinks, and a recognised leadership position within its core category. The business distributes across tens of thousands of retail and foodservice outlets, with established brands and a loyal consumer base in North America, and is now sharpening its focus on profitable international expansion, particularly in Asia. The organisation is publicly listed, entrepreneurial in culture, and entering a phase of renewed strategic focus under a recently appointed CEO.

Job Description

  • Lead overall Asia strategy, P&L performance, and long‑term growth agenda
  • Translate global brand and portfolio strategy into winning local market plans
  • Build and optimise route‑to‑market models across developed and emerging Asian markets
  • Drive distributor partnerships, key customer negotiations, and commercial excellence
  • Oversee product launches, portfolio prioritisation, and pricing architecture
  • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing regional leadership team
  • Act as Asia leadership voice to global executive team and Board stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

  • 15+ years of senior commercial or general management experience within FMCG, beverages, or consumer products
  • Proven track record of leading multi‑country businesses across Asia with full P&L accountability
  • Deep experience in distributor‑led and hybrid route‑to‑market models
  • Demonstrated success in scaling brands, launching products, and driving profitable growth
  • Strong strategic capability combined with hands‑on execution mindset
  • Experience operating within global or US‑headquartered organisations
  • This role is the main interface for the client's China manufacturing hub, so fluency in Mandarin is a key requirement from HQ.
