We are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to support the Accounting & Finance department in a maternity cover role. The successful candidate will play a key role in month-end and year-end close, budgeting, audit coordination, and cash flow planning.

Job Description

  • Manage financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Perform month-end, quarterly and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the department.
  • Manage quarterly GST returns and annual tax filings, liaising with external tax agents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts.
  • Support audits by preparing required documentation and liaising with auditors.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks effectively.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Finance Manager should have:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or ACCA qualification
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in external audit
  • Exposure to hospitality, REIT, real estate or asset management environments is an added advantage.
  • Strong hands-on accounting background with experience in month-end and statutory reporting
  • Good working knowledge of GST, tax and regulatory compliance
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
