An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Trade Support professional to join a high-performing investment operations team within a globally recognised hedge fund. This role offers direct interaction with Portfolio Managers, Traders and senior stakeholders while providing broad exposure across multiple asset classes and trading strategies.

Job Description

  • Monitor daily trading activity and ensure accurate trade capture across multiple financial products and markets
  • Manage trade lifecycle events and maintain the timely processing of all post-trade activities
  • Maintain instrument, client, fund and trader static data to support operational efficiency and straight-through processing
  • Investigate, reconcile and resolve trade and position discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Portfolio Managers and Execution Traders to support risk and P&L integrity
  • Contribute to new business initiatives, product launches and trading platform enhancements
  • Identify opportunities to improve controls, automate processes and strengthen operational risk management frameworks

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree qualification in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or another numerate discipline
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience within Trade Support, Trade Assistant, Middle Office or Investment Operations environments
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, market structure and trade lifecycle processes
  • Experience supporting traded products across one or more asset classes including Fixed Income, FX, Equities, Credit, Rates or Listed Derivatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a proactive approach to issue resolution
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL, VBA, Python or other automation tools would be advantageous
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced, front-office focused environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to accuracy and control
