Technical Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, and document business, functional, and system requirements from stakeholders.
• Work closely with business users, product owners, developers, QA teams, and project managers throughout the project life cycle.
• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and solution discussions.
• Understand existing business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Create and maintain business process maps, use cases, workflows, and project documentation.
• Work with technical teams to find solution design and ensure alignment with business plans and requirements.
• Agile delivery activities, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and requirement prioritisation.
• Assist in system integration, testing activities, User Acceptance Testing, and defect management.
• Manage requirement traceability and assess the impact of change requests throughout the project life cycle.
• Ensure project artefacts and documentation remain accurate, complete, and up to date.
• Project implementation, deployment activities, and post-implementation reviews where required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant expertise in technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and software delivery processes.
• Gathering, and documenting business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Work in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex business requirements.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management.
• Use tools such as Confluence, Azure, Lucid chart, or similar project and documentation tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Worked on application development, digital transformation, or system integration projects.
• Knowledge of web services, system interfaces, and integration concepts.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, database structures, and data techniques.
• Cloud-based applications and enterprise platforms.
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and business process modelling.
