Job Description

  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of overseas commercial and business contracts
  • Provide end-to-end legal support for international projects, from planning to execution
  • Advise business stakeholders on legal risk management and compliance across jurisdictions
  • Support cross-border negotiations by structuring legally sound and commercially pragmatic solutions
  • Manage and coordinate external overseas counsel, including dispute resolution matters
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments in target markets and update internal practices
  • Develop and maintain overseas contract templates and deliver legal training to internal teams

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Legal Counsel should have:

  • Degree in Law from a reputable institution
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualified legal experience in an in-house or reputable law firm environment
  • Strong exposure to cross-border transactions and international legal matters
  • Proven experience supporting overseas business operations or projects
  • Commercially minded with the ability to translate legal advice into business solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
