Job Description

Technology Risk & Control Oversight

  • Lead the assessment and monitoring of technology-related risks across applications, infrastructure, cloud services, and third-party providers.
  • Review control effectiveness and drive remediation plans to address identified gaps and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop meaningful risk insights through metrics, dashboards, and key risk indicators.
  • Embed risk and security considerations into technology initiatives and change programmes from the outset.



Regulatory Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with applicable technology and cybersecurity regulations and industry standards.
  • Act as a key liaison during regulatory reviews, audits, and inspections.
  • Monitor remediation activities and oversee the closure of regulatory and audit findings.
  • Support the ongoing improvement of governance frameworks and risk management practices.



Policy & Framework Management

  • Drive the development and enhancement of technology risk policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Promote consistent adoption of governance requirements across technology teams.
  • Ensure policies remain aligned with evolving regulatory obligations and business priorities.



Incident, Resilience & Third-Party Risk

  • Provide risk oversight and challenge during technology incidents and operational disruptions.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery governance activities.
  • Oversee technology risk assessments for strategic vendors and outsourced service providers.
  • Strengthen third-party risk management practices through ongoing monitoring and assurance activities.



Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on technology risk, controls, and governance matters.
  • Deliver clear and concise risk reporting to leadership and governance committees.
  • Foster a strong risk culture through training, awareness, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Control Manager should have:

  • Strong expertise in technology controls within the financial services sector.
  • Proven ability to assess and manage risks effectively.
  • Experience in developing and implementing control frameworks.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Degree qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in Technology Risk, IT Audit, Information Security, Operational Risk, or Technology Compliance within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of technology governance, risk management frameworks, cybersecurity controls, and IT control environments.
  • Deep knowledge of MAS Technology Risk Management (TRM) requirements and the Singapore regulatory landscape.
  • Experience engaging with regulators, auditors, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to translate technical risks into business impact.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with recognised frameworks and standards including ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, and ITIL.
  • Experience supporting cloud, digital transformation, or large-scale technology change programmes.
