Job Description

Reporting to senior leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of large-scale data centre cooling projects from contract award through to commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex cooling and thermal management projects for data centre customers.
  • Provide functional leadership to project managers, engineers and cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Establish project governance, delivery playbooks and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency across projects.
  • Manage project performance across schedule, cost, margin, quality, safety and commissioning outcomes.
  • Partner closely with sales, service, commissioning, logistics, operations and engineering teams to resolve project risks and execution challenges.
  • Oversee technical and commissioning milestones, including factory testing, site testing, system integration and final handover.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for customers, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders on project, technical and commercial matters.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate should bring strong project leadership experience within the HVAC, cooling solutions, industrial engineering or mission-critical infrastructure sector.

Key requirements include:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 10 years of project management experience within HVAC, industrial systems, cooling solutions or mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Proven experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects from award stage through to final handover.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, cost control, risk management, commissioning and site execution.
  • Experience managing project teams in a matrix environment across engineering, operations, service and commercial functions.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to track margin, variation, delivery performance and operational KPIs.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior customers, consultants, contractors and internal leadership teams.
