About Our Client

Our client is a well-established organisation undertaking a significant finance improvement project across a complex regional business structure. They are seeking an experienced accounting professional to support a critical cost reclassification exercise and enhance reporting accuracy.

Job Description

  • Review financial records and general ledger transactions to identify costs that require reclassification.
  • Prepare, validate and post accounting journal entries across multiple entities while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Perform reconciliations, maintain supporting documentation, and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Partner with finance teams and key stakeholders to resolve data and classification issues efficiently.
  • Update consolidation and reporting templates while maintaining a clear audit trail for all adjustments.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Accountant should have:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles, journal processing, cost allocation and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including data analysis, reconciliation, lookups and PivotTables.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and multiple legal entities within a complex business environment.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical and able to manage priorities independently within established deadlines.
  • Experience in project accounting, cost accounting, financial reporting, or finance data remediation projects will be advantageous.
