About Our Client

Our client is an established globalMNC retail organisation, operating a large network of physical stores across major international markets. Known for its strong brand positioning, customer-centric approach, and operational excellence, the business continues to invest aggressively in leadership talent to support long-term growth in South East Asia.They are now seeking to hire a Head of Retail, MYSG to help drive commercial performance, strengthen retail operations, and build a high-performing leadership team across the two markets.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, South East Asia, this role is responsible for leading and transforming the retail operations across Malaysia and Singapore. As the Head of Retail MYSG, you will drive commercial performance, develop a high-performing retail organisation, and execute strategic initiatives that deliver sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead end-to-end retail performance across Malaysia and Singapore, with full accountability for sales, profitability, operations, and P&L management.
  • Drive growth and expansion initiatives, partnering with landlords and local stakeholders while translating regional strategies into strong local execution.
  • Build and develop high-performing retail teams, including leadership development, succession planning, and performance incentive programs.
  • Deliver operational excellence through data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement of retail processes, organisational structure, and customer experience.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, you are likely to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline
  • At least 10 years of experience in retail management, with 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multi-site operations
  • Proven ability to lead large teams, build leadership pipelines, and influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong commercial and strategic mindset with hands-on experience managing P&L and complex budgets
  • Track record of delivering business improvement or expansion projects across cross-functional teams
  • Experience within fast-paced, consumer-driven retail environments (e.g. fashion, lifestyle, retail)
