A successful Head of Data should have:

  • A strong background in data management, analytics, or related disciplines.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
  • Experience in developing and implementing data strategies.
  • Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security practices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and technologies.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving business impact through data.Qualifications & Requirements * 12+ years of experience in enterprise data management, data governance, or data architecture leadership. * Proven experience establishing enterprise data governance frameworks and operating models. * Experience implementing enterprise data platforms and analytics environments (e.g., Snowflake, Qlik or similar). * Experience working in complex enterprise environments with multiple systems and data domains. * Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior leadership and governance forums. * Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality and master data management. * Ability to translate business needs into enterprise data strategy and governance frameworks. * Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across business and technology teams. * Proven ability to lead cross-functional transformation initiatives. * Bachelor's in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management or a related field. * Professional certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), DCAM (Data Management Capability Assessment Model), or TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) will be an advantage.
