Job Description

  • Develop and execute the global electrical category strategy to support business objectives, drive value creation, and enhance long-term category performance.
  • Lead negotiations and implementation of global Master Framework Agreements with strategic suppliers to optimize cost, strengthen supply continuity, and maximize commercial value.
  • Own and manage global supplier relationships, driving performance, innovation, schedule adherence, and continuous improvement across projects and business units.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including engineering, construction, operations, and finance, to align procurement strategies with technical and project requirements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks while optimizing total cost of ownership through market intelligence and data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor global market trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies within the electrical category to maintain competitiveness and inform strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Leverage procurement systems and analytics tools to enhance spend visibility, track supplier performance, and support operational excellence across global procurement activities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline; professional procurement certifications (e.g. CIPS, CPM) are advantageous.
  • Extensive procurement/category management experience, minimally 10 years within electrical equipment sourcing (HV, MV, LV), preferably in a global EPC or industrial setting.
  • Strong technical and commercial acumen across electrical systems, including knowledge of industry standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic supplier negotiations and manage global framework agreements, delivering cost efficiencies and long-term value creation.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing category strategies that support engineering, operational, and project delivery objectives.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and build strong supplier partnerships.
  • Strong proficiency in procurement systems and analytical tools (e.g. SAP, SAP Ariba, Excel, PowerPoint), with a data-driven approach to performance management, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
