The Deputy Director, HR will provide strategic leadership in HR matters including overseeing full spectrum of HR work for the the largest workforce division within the institution. The role will also oversee strategic collaboration with stakeholders both within and outside of the institution to ensure the HR practice remain robust and forward-looking.

This role will lead a team of 15 direct reports in supporting the largest workforce division within the institution.

Job Description

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on people, culture, and organisational matters
  • Develop and implement workforce planning strategies to meet current and future needs.
  • Lead talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning initiatives for the assigned division.
  • Collaborate with division leadership to address staffing requirements and employee relations matters.
  • Establish and review HR policies, frameworks, and governance standards.
  • Manage HR budgets, resources, and vendor relationships effectively.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related majors.
  • At least 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience in large organisation or healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Excellent understanding of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive HR initiatives.
