Job Description

  • Manage the full lifecycle of supply chain and vendor contracts.
  • Review agreements to ensure commercial terms such as pricing, delivery timelines, and quality standards meet business needs.
  • Ensure contracts follow internal policies and protect the company from unnecessary risks.
  • Review and revise contract terms and negotiate directly with suppliers within company guidelines.
  • Work with internal teams to resolve commercial and contractual matters before agreements are finalized.
  • Establish clear contracting policies, procedures, and standard templates for supplier agreements.
  • Work with legal, business units, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain these frameworks.
  • Update processes regularly based on business needs, regulatory changes, and past experience.
  • Improve contract workflows to make the process faster and more efficient.
  • Introduce tools or tracking methods to reduce delays and improve contract turnaround time.
  • Communicate key obligations and updates to relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
  • Maintain professional relationships with suppliers during the contracting stage.
  • Support supplier selection and purchasing activities when required.
  • Identify opportunities for contract renewal, renegotiation, or risk mitigation.
  • Continuously improve internal contract management systems and processes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline. An MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or contract management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience handling supplier contracts and negotiations in a manufacturing company is essential.
  • Good understanding of supply chain operations and how supplier contracts impact areas such as production, logistics, and sales.
  • Experience working across different departments, particularly with legal and operations teams, on company-wide initiatives or projects.
  • Strong contract review, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to balance commercial outcomes and supplier relationships.
  • Ability to independently handle contract matters and know when to escalate issues to legal or senior management.
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple contracts and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally.
