Job Description

  • Manage month-end financial close activities and support regulatory and management reporting processes.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, account substantiation, ageing analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Act as the key finance liaison for technology, systems, and business stakeholders on process enhancements and system-related initiatives.
  • Support project planning, implementation, and delivery of finance transformation initiatives.
  • Drive operational readiness, automation initiatives, and efficiency improvements across finance processes.
  • Provide finance subject matter expertise for product launches and system enhancement requests.
  • Support governance, controls, and end-user computing (EUC) frameworks within Finance Operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful AVP - Finance Operations should have:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification preferred.
  • Min 4+ years of Finance Operations experience, ideally within the insurance sector.
  • Experience in financial close, reconciliations, and finance controls.
  • Exposure to finance transformation, system implementation, or process improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of commission and distribution accounting would be advantageous.
  • Experience with automation and reporting tools such as Alteryx or similar platforms is beneficial.
