This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join a globally recognised agribusiness organisation and play a key role in financial markets accounting and controlling activities. Working within a collaborative regional finance team, you will support financial reporting, derivative accounting, reconciliations, SOX compliance and month-end close processes while partnering stakeholders across multiple international locations.

Job Description

  • Support the execution and coordination of monthly financial reporting and month-end close activities
  • Prepare balance sheet reviews, account analysis and commentary on key financial movements
  • Perform and review reconciliations relating to financial instruments, intercompany transactions, banking activities and trade balances
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies through close collaboration with internal stakeholders and regional teams
  • Maintain the integrity, completeness and accuracy of financial data across reporting systems
  • Support internal control, audit and SOX compliance activities through timely preparation of documentation and supporting evidence
  • Partner with finance and shared services teams across multiple regions to ensure accurate and timely deliverables

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a recognised professional accounting qualification
  • Min 5 years of accounting, financial reporting, controlling and/or audit experience
  • Min 5 years of experience handling financial instruments, derivatives accounting and related accounting treatments
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting processes
  • Strong knowledge of SAP and enterprise financial systems
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and financial control frameworks
  • Experience supporting audits, internal controls and compliance-related activities
