Software Engineer - 1 Year

We are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, secure, and high-performance software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern web technologies, API architectures, micro services, and cloud development practices. This role requires to work with product managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver innovative digital solutions.What will you be doing in this role?

• Work closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and development teams to solve requirements and design effective software solutions.
• User story grooming sessions and provide technical guidance throughout the software development life cycle.
• Design and architect software components, micro services, and integration platforms.
• Perform code reviews, security assessments, and application performance monitoring to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Mentor and guide developers on best practices in software engineering and API-first development.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy web applications and using modern development frameworks and technologies.
• Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines and deploy automation across environments.
• Optimise application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Develop and maintain databases, backed services, and fronted applications.
• Create and implement security controls, data protection measures, and compliance standards.
• Develop user-friendly web interfaces.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolution of technical problems.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, frameworks, and development practices to improve solution delivery.

Who is the ideal candidate?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in hands-on knowledge in software development or a similar engineering role.
• Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java or JavaScript.
• Extensive knowledge in API-based system integration and enterprise application development.
• Work with database technologies such as MongoDB, SQL Server, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of web servers and reverse proxies such as Apache.
• Containerise application development and deployment using Docker.
• Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including secure coding, testing, and code quality standards.
• Hands-on skills with Agile/Scrum methodologies,and CI/CD tools.
• Excellent problem-solving,communication, and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Knowledge in distributed application or event system development using technologies such as Apache Storm, Apache Spark, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Python development.
• Knowledge with cloud architectures and deployments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation, and observably tools.
• Exposure to API gateways, service mesh technologies, and enterprise integration platforms.
