About Our Client

Our client is a globally established energy and commodity trading organisation with an extensive global footprint across major trading hubs.

Job Description

  • Provide practical legal advice to support commercial and trading activities
  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements
  • Advise stakeholders on contractual risks and mitigation strategies
  • Support dispute management, negotiations and resolution processes
  • Partner with business teams to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting operations and recommend appropriate actions
  • Work closely with management on strategic legal and corporate matters



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognised institution
  • Minimum 5 years of Post-Qualification Experience, Oil & Gas/Shipping Trading
  • Experience in commercial contracts and legal advisory work
  • Strong contract drafting, analytical and negotiation capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Exposure to litigation, trade law, commodity trading, shipping law or related sectors will be advantageous
  • Commercially minded with a practical approach to problem-solving
