The Head of Partnerships Asia Pacific role is to develop and grow strategic partnerships across the region. This is a senior individual-contributor role with responsibility for identifying, developing and managing strategic relationships that strengthen market presence, create new business opportunities and support the growth of its enterprise payments and technology business.

Job Description

Partnership Strategy & Development

* Develop and execute the regional partnership strategy in alignment with business objectives.

* Identify and prioritize potential strategic partners based on market opportunity and business relevance.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the partner ecosystem.

* Develop partnership models that create sustainable and mutually beneficial commercial value.

* Identify opportunities for strategic alliances, referrals, joint propositions and other forms of collaboration.

Business Development

* Originate new business opportunities through strategic partnerships.

* Work closely with sales and business teams to develop joint opportunities.

* Build and manage a partner-related opportunity pipeline.

* Support the conversion of partnership opportunities into measurable business outcomes.

* Identify emerging market and technology trends that could create new partnership opportunities.

Commercial & Contractual Management

* Lead partnership discussions from initial engagement through negotiation and execution.

* Develop appropriate commercial structures and partnership models.

* Work with Legal, Finance and other internal stakeholders to structure agreements that are scalable and commercially viable.

* Establish appropriate governance mechanisms for strategic partnerships.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Work closely with regional and country sales teams, product, solution consulting, marketing, legal and other functions.

* Develop joint business plans and initiatives with strategic partners.

* Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure effective execution of partnership opportunities.

* Represent the Group in relevant industry, technology and partner forums.

Partnership Performance

* Establish appropriate metrics to measure the effectiveness of strategic partnerships.

* Monitor partner activity, opportunity development and commercial outcomes.

* Provide regular updates to regional leadership on partnership progress, opportunities and challenges.

* Continuously evaluate the partner portfolio and identify opportunities to deepen, expand or rationalize relationships.

The Successful Applicant

Experience

* Minimum 12 years onwards of experience in partnerships, alliances, business development, strategic sales or ecosystem development.

* Experience in payments, fintech, banking technology, enterprise technology or related industries preferred.

* Strong understanding of the Southeast Asian business environment.

* Demonstrated experience working with senior stakeholders across multiple organizations and markets.

Partnership & Commercial Capability

* Proven track record of building and developing strategic partnerships.

* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and structure mutually beneficial opportunities.

* Experience negotiating and closing partnership agreements.

* Ability to convert relationships into tangible business opportunities and commercial outcomes.

* Strong understanding of enterprise sales and indirect business development models.

* Demonstrated ability to build a function, ecosystem or business initiative from the ground up.

* Comfortable operating without an established playbook or extensive infrastructure.

* High degree of ownership, initiative and execution discipline.

* Strong executive presence and communication capability.
