About Our Client

We are hiring a leader to build and lead a next-generation AI capability from the ground up, focused on autonomous systems, intelligent automation, and real-time decisioning at scale. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how AI transforms complex systems into intelligent, self-optimising operations.

Job Description

What you will own:

  • Establish and scale a world-class AI engineering function, built from inception
  • Design and deliver production-grade AI systems operating in complex, real-time environments
  • Own the end-to-end AI lifecycle, including model build, deployment, monitoring, and optimisation
  • Develop and scale autonomous workflows and intelligent automation, reducing manual intervention across operations
  • Build a platform-led approach to AI, enabling reusable, production-ready capabilities
  • Drive the evolution toward self-learning, self-healing systems powered by AI
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to translate strategy into executed, measurable AI outcomes
  • Ensure strong foundations in governance, reliability, and responsible AI deployment

The Successful Applicant

You think like an engineer, build like a platform architect, and lead like a founder. You are excited by complex systems, scale, and real-world impact & wants to define how AI drives autonomous operations in enterprise environments.What you will bring:

  • Proven experience leading AI, engineering, or platform organisations at scale
  • Strong foundation in systems engineering, platform architecture, or distributed systems
  • Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML systems into production environments
  • Track record of building and scaling teams and capabilities from the ground up
  • Experience operating in high-complexity, high-reliability environments
  • Ability to operate at both at deep technical and architectural levels as well as at executive and strategic levels
