Job Description

  • Establish and manage the deployment wave framework, including scope definition, sequencing, governance, and stage-gate criteria.
  • Develop and maintain integrated cutover plans and deployment runbooks, incorporating inputs from multiple technology and business workstreams.
  • Coordinate and facilitate cutover rehearsals, validation exercises, and execution planning activities.
  • Lead command centre operations during deployment windows, ensuring effective issue management and stakeholder communication.
  • Drive operational readiness activities, including support model alignment, monitoring, access management, communications, incident management processes, and hypercare preparation.
  • Prepare readiness assessments and decision-making materials that support deployment approvals and go/no-go reviews.
  • Ensure successful transition into operational support teams through robust documentation, knowledge transfer, and acceptance processes.
  • Track and manage deployment risks, dependencies, and remediation plans throughout the programme.



Key Deliverables

  • Deployment wave governance framework and readiness criteria.
  • End-to-end cutover plans and execution runbooks.
  • Rehearsal schedules, outcomes, and action tracking.
  • Operational readiness assessments and deployment approval packs.
  • Hypercare planning and command centre operating model.
  • Knowledge transfer plans, support documentation, and operational acceptance records.

The Successful Applicant

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading cutover, release, deployment, or transition management activities within large and complex technology programmes.
  • Strong programme coordination and stakeholder management capabilities across multiple teams and vendors.
  • Experience managing critical production deployment events and high-pressure execution windows.
  • Solid understanding of IT operations, service management, and production support models.
  • Ability to identify risks, manage dependencies, and drive issue resolution in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile, hybrid delivery methodologies, and enterprise-scale transformation programmes is advantageous.
