You will provide hands-on guidance across the application, governance and compliance workstreams while helping the business prepare for regulated operations. About Our Client

Our client is an international cross-border payments company preparing to establish its presence in Singapore. As part of its market entry, the business is looking for an experienced payments compliance professional to support its licensing application and build the regulatory foundations required for its Singapore operations.

Job Description

  • Lead and coordinate the end-to-end payment services licence application process, including regulatory submissions, queries and key application milestones.
  • Review and strengthen licensing materials including business plans, AML/CFT policies, risk frameworks, governance arrangements and compliance documentation.
  • Act as a senior regulatory contact for the business, supporting discussions and engagements with the regulator and external advisers.
  • Advise management on licensing strategy, regulatory expectations, governance and operational readiness for the Singapore business.

The Successful Applicant

  • Senior compliance, regulatory or legal & compliance experience within payments, fintech or cross-border payments.
  • Proven hands-on experience leading or materially contributing to a successful Singapore payment services licence application.
  • Strong knowledge of the Payment Services Act, AML/CFT requirements and direct experience handling regulatory engagements during a licensing process.
  • Able to operate independently in a greenfield environment and provide practical guidance to senior management throughout the application journey.
