Our client is an established MNC retail company, and they are seeking a Commercial Strategy Director for Southeast Asia to drive regional growth through strategic partnerships, channel expansion, and commercial excellence. This is a high-impact leadership role within a dynamic, fast-evolving environment, offering the opportunity to influence business strategy across multiple markets.

Job Description

You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director, SEA. Your main job responsibilities include:

  • Partner with regional leadership to define and execute strategic priorities across Southeast Asia
  • Lead the regional planning cycle and performance tracking, ensuring alignment between business goals and execution
  • Drive high-impact, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring delivery and measurable business outcomes
  • Act as a key connector across regional, local, and global stakeholders to drive alignment and clarity
  • Translate data, insights, and market trends into actionable recommendations
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance operating models, processes, and overall effectiveness



The Successful Applicant

In order to be successful in the role, you should have:

  • a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or any related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in strategy, transformation, commercial, or consulting roles within consumer retail or FMCG industry
  • Proven ability to drive initiatives across Southeast Asia or multi-market environments
  • Experienced in working with senior stakeholders within matrix organisations
  • Strong commercial mindset with good understanding of business performance drivers and planning processes
  • Comfortable working with data and able to translate insights into clear actions
  • Strategic yet hands-on, with the ability to balance thinking and execution
