The role offers broad exposure to financial close, compliance, operational finance and finance transformation initiatives while providing flexibility with a three-day work week.

About Our Client

Our client is a well-established multinational organisation with operations across the Asia-Pacific region. They are seeking an experienced accounting professional to provide hands-on finance support during a period of increased business activity and ongoing transformation initiatives.

Job Description

  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial close activities, including journal preparation and account reconciliations.
  • Handle accounts for Singapore, China and Malaysia.
  • Prepare financial reports, schedules and variance analysis to support management reporting requirements.
  • Assist with accruals, intercompany transactions, general ledger maintenance and other operational finance activities.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls and financial reporting standards.
  • Support internal and external audit processes, maintaining accurate financial documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, system enhancements and finance-related projects.
  • Provide ad hoc accounting and analytical support to the wider finance team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Accountant' should have:

  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of accounting or finance experience, ideally within a multinational environment.
  • Sound knowledge of financial accounting principles, reconciliations and month-end close processes.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; exposure to SAGE 300 or similar platforms is advantageous.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver accurate results within deadlines.
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, CA or ACCA will be a plus.
