Singapore's hottest industry trends

Singapore is the most competitive nation in the world. According to the World Economic Forum, the city-state beat out its Asian neighbours like Hong Kong (3rd) and Japan (6th), as well as the US (2nd), 2018’s most competitive country.

However, with regional and even international markets afflicted with upheavals and uncertainties, the only way for Singapore to maintain its competitive position in the new decade is to know where the market is and its trajectory in the near future.

Market Movers is a series of articles for the new decade. We take deep dives into five of Singapore’s most active industries — legal, retail, technology, financial services and fast-moving consumer goods — to pinpoint the current state of play, the challenges that lie ahead, as well as how they will influence Singapore’s recruitment space and the economy at large.

Discover Singapore, one of the biggest market movers in its own right, will continue to shape the region’s economic outlook in 2020 and beyond.
