About Our Client
Our client is a Southeast Asia VC fund that's investing in tech companies, across SE Asia and China. As part of their growth strategy, they are looking for someone to manage their existing institutional LPs and someone to lead their fund raising efforts, as well as being hands on in their capital formation function and being a key support to the investment team and their portfolio companies. This Investor Relations position is a newly created role that is very important for the next step of their expansion.
Job Description
Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, responsibilities of this role include:
- Lead the fund raise process with Partners including strategy, development and execution
- Managing reporting, developing pitch decks, leading in investor meetings, presentations; able to source new LPs, develop and maintain a CRM system for fundraising
- Managing the relationship with LPs including quarterly updates, LP communications, effectively operationg the IR systems & processes
- Working with the portfolio operations team to grow and manage relationships and introductions to competive portfolio companies
- Acting as an advisor to the investment team, regarding investor interest, optimizing fund raising for portfolio companies
The Successful Applicant
To be a successful applicant, you must ideally meet the below:
* Masters' in Finance, Business or another relevant discipline plus experience in investor and/or public relations
* Prior experience of having led fund raising in the PE / VC setup
* Proven track record in managing LP relationships and running co-investment processes
* Ability to work independently - it is estimated that around 11 years related experience would be needed to manage the demands of this role autonomously
* Strong business ethics and values to align to the corporate culture
