VP, Private Credit (APAC)

International Permanent View Job Description
We are supporting a leading regional financial services platform expanding its private credit capability across APAC. This role sits within a deal-driven team focused on structuring and executing sponsor-backed and asset-backed transactions. It is suited for hands-on credit professionals with experience in senior secured or mezzanine deals, with strong exposure to downside analysis and cross-border execution.
  • Lead complex private credit deals across sponsor-backed APAC transactions
  • Drive bespoke credit investments across structured and sponsor-led deals

About Our Client

Our client is a well-established regional financial services platform with a strong presence across Asia Pacific. The organisation is recognised for its disciplined credit approach, sophisticated financing capability and long-standing institutional relationships across the region.

The platform is active in bespoke and structured credit transactions, working across multiple jurisdictions and sectors with a focus on thoughtful underwriting, strong downside protection and disciplined execution. The culture is collaborative, commercially driven and focused on high-quality credit judgement.

Job Description

  • Lead and support the end-to-end structuring and execution of complex private credit transactions across APAC.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities across senior secured, mezzanine, HoldCo and other structured credit instruments.
  • Conduct detailed credit analysis, financial modelling, downside case assessment, security structuring and recovery analysis.
  • Prepare and present credit memoranda and recommendations to internal approval committees and senior stakeholders.
  • Work closely with sponsors, borrowers, legal counsel and internal teams across due diligence, documentation, execution and post-deal monitoring.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in private credit, direct lending, sponsor finance or special situations.
  • Demonstrated experience in hands-on deal execution and credit underwriting, rather than purely syndication, portfolio monitoring or relationship management roles.
  • Strong understanding of capital structures across senior secured, mezzanine, HoldCo or other structured financing solutions.
  • Solid grounding in financial modelling, accounting, downside protection, security packages and recoveries.

What's on Offer

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-value credit transactions within a sophisticated regional platform. You will gain exposure to cross-border private credit opportunities, partner closely with experienced stakeholders and play a meaningful role in shaping credit outcomes across Asia Pacific. The position provides strong visibility, deal exposure and long-term growth within a collaborative and execution-focused environment.
