Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structuring Specialist to join our Loans and Credit team. This role is integral to the development and implementation of innovative loan and credit solutions that meet the complex needs of their clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of credit structuring, financial analysis and risk management within an international banking context.

Job Description

  • Design and structure bespoke loan and credit facilities tailored to the specific requirements of corporate and institutional clients. Ensure solutions are competitive, compliant, and aligned with the bank's risk appetite.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence on prospective clients. Assess credit risk and prepare detailed credit proposals for approval by the relevant committees.
  • Collaborate closely with relationship managers to understand client needs and provide expert advice on structuring complex credit transactions. Attend client meetings and present structuring solutions.
  • Oversee the preparation of loan documentation, ensuring all terms and conditions are accurately reflected. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes and industry developments to identify new opportunities and potential risks. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, including legal, compliance, risk and operations to ensure seamless execution of structured transactions. Liaise with external parties such as legal advisors, rating agencies, and syndicate partners.
  • Monitor the performance of structured loans and credit facilities. Identify and mitigate any emerging risks and ensure timely reporting to management.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in structuring loans and credit facilities within a banking environment.
  • Strong financial analysis and credit risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent understanding of loan documentation, regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and relevant software tools.
