The Vessel Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of the company's vessels, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This role will also be pivotal in liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial representation of the vessels.

Job Description

  • Manage vessel accounting processes.
  • Handle portage bill accounting.
  • Raise fund requests to owners and monitor receipts.
  • Prepare full sets of vessel reports with supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely report completion.
  • Review vessel reports and address queries from vessel owners.
  • Assist in reconciling inter-company vessel balances.
  • Support the finance and accounts department with ad hoc assignments.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Vessel Accountant should have:

  • Graduate or Higher diploma in Accountancy/ business or equivalent background
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in related field, possess accounting knowledge related to Vessel Reporting will be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software.
