Our client is one of the leading brokerages in the region and they are looking for a Unit Trust Operations (Senior Associate) to manage the entire end to end unit trust operations lifecycle including processing investor transactions, subscriptions, redemptions, transfers & dividend.

Job Description

  • Process day-to-day unit trust operations, including investor transactions such as subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, and dividend payments
  • Liaise with counterparties, CPF Board, and agent banks on trade settlement, reporting, and reconciliations
  • Compute and process trailer fees accurately and in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams and fund houses on account opening, fund onboarding, and AML / DDQ / annual review documentation
  • Ensure all operational processes comply with regulatory requirements and reporting obligations
  • Document operational procedures to ensure consistent, efficient workflows and optimal productivity
  • Address investor and relationship manager inquiries related to operational matters
  • Perform and coordinate end-to-end system testing (from trade execution to settlement) for system enhancements or changes
  • Handle administrative tasks, ad-hoc assignments, and projects as assigned
  • Uphold organizational policies, standards, and legislative requirements
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of transactions and operational activities

The Successful Applicant

To succeed in this role, you should ideally possess the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or relevant disciplines
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in unit trust operations; exposure to bonds is an advantage
  • Strong operational background with a detail-oriented and process-driven mindset
  • Proven ability to plan, manage, and improve operational processes for efficiency and productivity
  • Good understanding of financial services practices and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with and adherence to internal policies and procedures
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex operational issues with practical, constructive solutions
