With their ever-expanding portfolio in providing services for their customers, they aim to maintain and improve their current performance both locally and regionally of which they are seeking a Supply Chain Quality Assurance/ Social Compliance Specialist (Apparel) to be based at their HQ in Singapore.Job DescriptionYou will be reporting to the Head of Department directly. The majority of your responsibilities will include meeting with various suppliers to ensure safety and quality compliance, supply chain process improvements and product development.Your responsibilities include:Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including those related to supplier management and internal communication.Internal Communication: Regularly update Global Supply Chain Partners on support status, projects, and issues through monthly and weekly reports. Conduct root cause analysis of supplier problems and communicate findings to leadership.Product Quality: Support product quality through analysis and inspections, maintaining understanding of computer systems and procedures, and collaborating with suppliers to meet quality specifications.Vendor Start-Ups: Assist with vendor start-ups, coordinating with planning teams on volume needs and ensuring product specifications and quality standards are met before production.Social Compliance: Perform social compliance audits, follow up on audit items, and address social compliance non-conformance at suppliers.C-TPAT Compliance: Ensure proper security measures are in place for C-TPAT certified vendors and plants.Safety and 6-Sigma Training: Provide input for safety improvements based on OSHA training, and offer 6-Sigma training as requested and applicable.Process Improvement: Recommend process improvements to vendors and plants to enhance cost, quality, and delivery. Suggestions may include organizational improvements, in-line controls, and efficiency studies.Engineering Support: Conduct GSD analysis, increase productivity, and reduce labor costs through improvements in work methods, process controls, and throughput time. Provide support for costing analysis and evaluate preventative maintenance programs.The Successful ApplicantYou should have at least a Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or Engineering related fields and experience in supply chain process improvements and corporate health and safety compliance. You must possess strong analytical and reporting capabilities. It is essential that you have been exposed to Six Sigma Lean Belt training and have done quality assurance improvement processes. You will need to have great communication skills to work closely with vendors.
