Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain solutions using MS SQL Server (2016)
  • Write and optimise stored procedures and SQL code
  • Create and manage database views and related objects (functions, synonyms etc.)
  • Translate functional banking requirements into technical SQL implementations (non-DBA role)
  • Perform non-functional testing to ensure system performance and reliability
  • Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving application issues
  • Monitor and support applications in production, troubleshooting and resolving issues
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business and technical needs

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in MS SQL development
  • Strong expertise in relational databases (MSSQL) and SQL programming
  • Familiarity with XML; exposure to PowerShell and Java/Spring Boot is advantageous
  • Good understanding of banking, finance, or investment banking domains
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership with a customer-focused mindset
  • Collaborative team player with mentoring ability; exposure to Docker/Kubernetes is a plus
