Our client is a leading player in the EMS contract manufacturing space and they are expanding their footprint to Singapore. They are currently seeking for a dynamic leader to join the pioneer team as their Regional Sourcing Director.

About Our Client

This high-visibility role, reporting directly to the CEO and GM. The leader will be directly involved in building and growing the sourcing team across the region and will be required to travel frequently.

Job Description

  • Develop and manage relationships with tier-1 manufacturers and tier1/2/3 distributors
  • Qualify and assess franchised distributors' comparative advantages.
  • Negotiate business terms and monitor prices and deliveries.
  • Establish and evaluate supplier performance metrics regularly.
  • Analyze delivery and cost risks; negotiate allocations.
  • Communicate with internal teams about costs and sourcing strategies.
  • Design and establish sourcing strategy to negotiate on high volume RFP/ RFQ and mass production
  • Negotiate on business terms with distributors and arrange regular meetings to check prices/ deliverables
  • Supplier Performance Management to evaluate the Quality, Delivery, Cost and other business terms
  • Regularly eliminate and introduce new suppliers based on the metrics

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven leadership and team management experience with solid sourcing/ procurement background in regional capacity
  • Degree in Electronics or Manufacturing Engineering are preferred; MBA will be a plus
  • Relevant working experience in capacity of procurement/ sourcing, NPI or EMS lead within the Electronics Contract Manufacturing/ Semiconductor Industry
  • Solid connections and existing network with suppliers in the region
  • Well verse with cost negotiations on product cost, cost savings, cost optimizations and other savings.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment to deliver optimal solutions with tight timelines.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to manage both external and internal stakeholder relationships effectively
