We are seeking an Application Engineer (RF/Microwave and Wireless Communications) to join in the aerospace and defense domain. This position acts as a key technical link between pre-sales and post sales-team.

The company provides hardware, software, and services that help engineers design, simulate, validate, and troubleshoot electronic systems across a wide range of applications.

Job Description

  • Act as a subject-matter expert for aerospace, defense, and wireless communication customers, delivering both pre-sales and post-sales technical support while overseeing complex solution deployments.
  • Analyse customer needs and propose suitable test & measurement solutions, including system-level design, integration work, and the use of network modelling platforms
  • Deliver demonstrations, technical briefings, and hands-on training to customers and channel partners.
  • Partner with the sales organisation to uncover new opportunities and shape solution proposals.
  • Interface closely with product management and R&D teams to communicate user insights and contribute to future product enhancements.
  • Prepare technical collateral such as application guides, white papers, and documentation relevant to wireless and A/D applications.
  • Support system integration, troubleshooting, and optimisation involving channel emulators, network modelling tools, RF/uW instrumentation, and mixed-signal systems-particularly within Digital Twin setups.
  • Keep up to date with evolving wireless standards, military specifications, and advancements across the A/D ecosystem.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in applications engineering or T&M solutions, particularly within aerospace, defense, or wireless sectors.
  • Strong understanding of RF/MW measurement systems, signal generation/analysis, radar technologies, and satellite/terrestrial wireless communication methods.
  • Hands-on experience with instruments such as oscilloscopes, signal/spectrum/network analyzers, channel emulators, network modelling platforms, and EMSO-related tools.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for customers.
