About Our Client

We are seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking Director of Software Engineering to lead our team in developing and deploying SaaS-based sustainability solutions. This role requires a strong background in ESG, building center of excellence engineering teams from scratch, and extensive experience in cloud environments and automation.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead and manage a team of software engineers in the development of SaaS solutions aimed at helping customers meet carbon neutrality and ESG goals.
  • Team Building: Build and mentor engineering teams from the ground up, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • SaaS Development: Oversee the design and development of scalable SaaS applications in a cloud environment, ensuring robust and secure solutions.
  • Automation: Drive the implementation of automation practices to enhance efficiency and reliability in software development and deployment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Quality, Site Reliability Engineering, DevSecOps, and Customer Success to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting continuous learning and development.
  • Project Management: Ensure the successful delivery of projects within budget and timeline constraints.



The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Software Engineering Director' should have:

  • 15+ years of proven software development and delivery management experience in key leadership roles.
  • Experience in driving the end-to-end commercialization of SaaS & IoT offerings.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead teams in developing AI solutions and frameworks.
  • Experience in designing and building licensable SaaS-based software solutions for the building automation industry.
  • Certified Cloud Solutions Architect with demonstrated ability to optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Proficiency in cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and microservices development
