Snr Procurement Analyst for Logistics Category, 3-year contract
Newly created role for a new project within a pharmaceutical MNC
About Our Client
Our client is one of the top pharmaceutical companies and they are furthering expanding their business to fit with upcoming trends. Hence they are embarking on a three years project to further grow their business globally.
Reporting to the Global Project Lead and Procurement Manager, the role involves the analysis of their current logistics processes to align with procurement to further build a more robust and competitive freight structure for the business across Asia.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Analyse current logistics/freight to streamline processes and eventually take ownership of the end-to-end freight processes from factories to suppliers to port of origin to customers.
- Work closely with internal commodity buyers and suppliers on opportunities to better move raw materials across Asia.
- Raw materials include - packaging, chemicals and etc.
- Procure logistics services to better serve the current needs.
The Successful Applicant
To excel well in this role, you should have more than 6 year of experience in analytical roles within the logistics or procurement of freight function. You should be familiar with International Trade such as incoterms, trade flows and etc. You should be analytical with strong communication and influencing skills as you will need to work closely with senior stakeholders to convince them on the ideas. Ability to interact and engage people is essential as this role requires interaction with various people in different functions across regions.
