Job Description

  • Carry out installation, commissioning, and servicing of specialised cooling and climate‑control equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, system testing, and performance validation to ensure operational reliability.
  • Diagnose faults involving HVAC systems, electrical components, controls, and network‑linked equipment.
  • Prepare service reports, commissioning documentation, spare‑parts requisitions, and recommendations for system improvements.
  • Provide on‑site training and guidance to customers and colleagues on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of systems within customer infrastructure.
  • Maintain service tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working condition.
  • Identify opportunities for upgrades, additional services, and value‑added solutions during customer interactions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Service Engineer should have:

  • Holds a NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
  • Has experience in HVAC servicing, commissioning, or technical support.
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, electrical systems, and control logic.
  • Able to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Confident communicator who can interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Self-driven, responsible, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Possesses a valid driver's licence and is willing to travel to customer sites when required.
