A leading manufacturer of high performance sealing and isolation products to protect global Oil & Gas pipelines. They provide critical sealing products and technologies that protect assets against extreme-temperature and corrosion - providing high levels of fire-safety and chemical-resistance.
In the midst of an industry lull, they have managed to maintain growth and succeed through innovation and best-in-class manufacturing technology. An $80m (global revenue) business that is a subsidiary a wider $1b+ Group of engineering companies.
The Senior Sales Manager - Asia Pacific is responsible for developing new sales, business development and territory analysis in the APAC region. There are two main responsibilities for this role - firstly to manage, develop and guide the existing team of 4 Sales Managers (based in Singapore, Korea and China); secondly to drive sales in the two regions of Australia and Indonesia. You will also take responsibility for managing some of the global and regional key accounts - maintaining high-level customer relationships with these KAs.
As the most senior and strategic sales individual in the APAC region you will also be tasked with designing and implementing local and regional sales strategies to ensure that the company meets its revenue objectives through growing both new and existing accounts. Having good relationships with both the EPCs and the end users/ owners/ operators will be essential to achieve this goal.
The Successful Applicant
This role reports into the Global Sales Director who has been with the business for 15+ years and is due to retire from duty within the next 2 years. The successful incumbent will have a good chance of stepping up into a bigger leadership role with more responsibilities for the whole of APAC when the Global Sales Director retires.
Of critical importance for this role of Senior Sales Manager - Asia Pacific will be:
- An understanding of critical application rubber and steel isolating gaskets, flanges, joint sealing and electrical insulation products
- Experience of dealing with customers in the Oil & Gas, EPC, Chemical & Petrochemical, Water & Waste Water and Infrastructure industries
- A keen interest in advanced engineering and manufacturing processes that provide solutions to achieve uncompromising safety, high performance and reliability for their customers
- Fluent spoken and written English is required for this role and any additional languages would be beneficial - especially Mandarin and Bahasa
