Seeking for a leader to manage Cyber Defence Operations team. This role would focus on cybersecurity strategy, overseeing detection, response, and SOC transformation to safeguard technology assets.You would drive automation, talent development, and collaboration with internal and external partners to strengthen resilience.This role ensures 24x7 defence, crisis management, and compliance, delivering executive updates while advancing threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security maturity across different business units.

Job Description

  • Lead cybersecurity detection and response operations with strong strategy and governance.
  • Design long-term security roadmaps to strengthen defence maturity and resilience.
  • Establish and optimize the Security Operations Centre (SOC) for efficiency and quality.
  • Manage and develop specialized teams of analysts, responders, and threat intelligence experts.
  • Drive automation and innovation using AI and advanced technologies.
  • Oversee incident detection, crisis management, and stakeholder communication.
  • Build and enhance threat intelligence capabilities and collaborative defence playbooks.
  • Continuously improve vulnerability management, SOC tools, and 24x7 monitoring operations.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on defence posture and capabilities.
  • Partner with external organizations to strengthen intelligence sharing and joint cyber exercises.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional security certifications required, such as CISSP, CISM, or specialized SANS credentials.
  • At least 15 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity roles.
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience managing security operations, SOCs, or equivalent programmes.
  • Proven track record of working with Internal Audit, Governance, and Compliance teams.
