About Our Client

We have been expanding aggressively since the launch of business and have identified Singapore as the regional headquarter to grow further in the SEA region. We are now looking for an inspiring Tech finance leader to join as as part of the regional leadership team in building and scaling the emerging markets finance function.
Job Description
This is a controllership role responsible for the reporting function for APAC region where you would have the opportunity to build and scale the team to support the various markets. You will be implementing the accounting and reporting policies in accordance to local and group guidelines. In the initial phase, you will be supported by outsourced accounting team and/or finance team members located in HQ to report financial statements in US GAAP and IFRS and gradually transition this function in-house. You will need to manage the tax and external audit compliance matters and work with the FP&A team to provide management reports and analysis of performance. You may be involved in adhoc projects in supporting the growth of the business.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate should have:
- Degree qualified with more than 8 years of relevant controllership experience in reputable MNC. SAAS/e-commerce/digital sector experience will be a plus
- Technially strong in accounting and reporting, familiarity with US GAAP reporting and tax compliance are a must.
- Strong leadership experience in building and scaling teams through remote management
- Ability to converse in Mandarin to work with stakeholders in China will be necessary
- Highly motivated individual, independent and hands-on will be crucial
- Confident communicator with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders with different cultural background
