Our client is a reputable global FMCG company that has a wide spectrum of products into different industry segments that includes the home and personal care, snacks and confectionery, consumer health, and others. Their main markets are currently within Europe and India. That said, they have been conscientiously making investments for the Asia Pacific region and are now committed to growing the focus in Asia by hiring an experienced Senior Commercial Manager. Job Description

Reporting to the General Manager for the Asia Pacific region, the Senior Commercial Manager is specifically responsible for Singapore and Australia, while overseeing the strategic development of the Asia Pacific region. On top of this, you will also be up to the challenge of the following:

  • Assume P&L responsibilities for Singapore and Australia
  • Maintain current relationships and consistently strengthening them, while forging new dynamic partnerships with new customers in Singapore through a direct sales model
  • Manage the distributor in Australia on marketing activities and sales strategies, while having a consistent regional strategy for the Asia Pacific region
  • Responsible for board meetings together with the General Manager at the start of each quarter, and the preparation of any reports on budgeting spend and revenue
  • Working with country managers and the General Manager to identify new brands that each market can bring in, and decide on strategic price points for each country
  • Ensuring that the business compliance is met within respective countries in the region
  • Manage 1 direct report

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree or MBA in Business, Marketing or any relevant field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working as a Sales and Marketing professional within the FMCG industry
  • Solid experience in launching and growing international brands within Asia Pacific region
  • Experience in working with regional teams and in a dynamic environment
  • Solution-oriented team player with a drive for sales growth
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Great stakeholder management skills internally and externally
