About Our Client
Our client is a world-leading medical device company established over a century ago, with a strong presence around the world with Singapore as their APAC HQ.
Job Description
- Perform IFRS and quarterly reporting based on experience in this area for a public listed company
- Manage the Group's IFRS implementation and deliver high-quality technical IFRS reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries
- Serve as the liaison bridge among SBUs to share market information on regional risk, competition and economic environment that will affect sales pipeline potential
- Support the business units to prepare budget and 3-5 years planning
- Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends to support business decisions
- Assist with financial reporting as required at the Audit and Risk Committee and Board meetings and provide advice to support the decision-making process
- Work closely with SBUs and Head of Finance to ensure appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
- Work closely with SBUs to ensure management reporting can value-add and is geared toward supporting business growth
- Help to fine-tune and develop a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the SBU's financial forecast
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Accountancy / Business Administration
- Certified Public Accountant
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in finance, accounting and controlling functions
- Reporting experience in a public listed company
- Knowledge of US GAAP will be a plus
- Strong leadership, high energy and able to work independently
- Good knowledge in International Accounting Standards
- Able to adjust working relationship and management style with working levels, peers and senior staff
- Good organizational and operational skills with experience in multi-cultural environment
- Ability to travel and take on short overseas assignments on an as-needed basis
