About Our Client

With their increasing global brand presence in the retail industry and growing business needs, our client is seeking for a Senior Accountant that is a passionate, driven and excitable individual to join the team.

Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Controller, you will:

  • Be responsible for the general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, POS management, coordination of annual audits and bank reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts and analyse actual performance against budgets
  • Assist with tax planning and compliance
  • Assist inventory team with consolidation of inventory reports
  • Work closely with other departments to develop financial strategies and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Drive process improvements to address operational issues and enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage and mentor junior accounting staff

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with at least 4 years of accounting experience
  • Ideally have had experience in the Retail or FMCG industry
  • CPA, ACCA equivalent certification
  • Strong technical knowledge and accounting standards
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
