About Our Client
Our client is a listed industrial business with established global footprint and partnerships with blue chip MNCs across multiple industries. The company has grown steadily by setting up manufacturing sites and signing partnerships with reliable and well-respected industrial manufacturing corporations and associations. The company has been operating with a healthy top line and revenue, but certainly still has untapped opportunities to scale more aggressively. As such, Michael Page has been engaged exclusively to support the hiring of Sales Director who would be able to scale the business to greater heights and manage the commercial sales team effectively.
Job Description
The Sales Director holds a critical position in the company in the aim to maximise sales and opportunities throughout Southeast Asia and China. Your main stakeholders will be the CEO as well as the Strategic Director who are both based in Singapore. The success of the Sales Director will be measured on the following criteria:
- Managing existing MNC clients and created deeper relationships within key accounts
- Driving lead generation and creation of new accounts / logos
- Coaching of existing sales team and building a culture of success and proactiveness
- Review and enhance the sales process / cycle, establish a collaborative environment between the engineering, development, and product teams, as well as with support teams to effectively close new client wins
- Research and understand the competitive landscape, trends and customers' demands
- Be involved in the product portfolio planning, so as to cater to clients more effectively
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree from a globally recognised university
- Expertise within the B2B industrial manufacturing sector, selling into
- 15 years or more experience in a people management function, driving P&L and sales
- Strong and consistent record of creating new business wins within a reputable industrial or manufacturing firm
- Strong coaching, education and training style with members of the sales team
- Ambitious sales professional and down to earth personality
