About Our Client
Our client is a tier-one energy company with an established international footprint. Having a been a leading market player for the past 50 years, the company have seen exponential growth through expansion and setting up of new subsidiaries. They are well-known in the market for hiring technically competent candidates within the energy/trading space, and now the Group Risk team is looking for a driven-individual to support the business.
As the Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for the enhancing and streamlining of the full risk framework for the Group, more specifically looking into the derivative trading and credit risk areas. You will also be reviewing the hedging and portfolio management activates of the business and play a pivotal role in the analysis of the market risk positions. On a regular basis, you will be responsible for trade and contract management and other middle office functions such as trade validation, settlements, and reporting of derivative positions. Overall, your role is critical in ensuring that the Group is operating within its risk parameters, while maximizing the benefits/outputs.
The Successful Applicant
As the successful candidate, you should have:
- Degree qualified within Accountancy/Finance/Economics/Business from a top-tier institution
- Additional qualifications such as CFA is highly advantageous
- Achieved 4-6 years of risk experience within middle office
- Highly analytical with proven track-record of risk analysis within the Energy/Trading sector
- IT-savvy, any experience with risk management systems is a good to have
