Job Description

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business teams, delivering swift, practical, and commercially‑relevant legal guidance across diverse areas.
  • Proactively identify risks and craft solutions that enable balanced, strategic decision‑making.
  • Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of a broad suite of agreements including commercial, marketing, leasing, HR, finance, and consumer‑related contracts.
  • Work seamlessly with cross‑functional teams across multiple markets, and manage external counsel to ensure effective and efficient legal support.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

  • Qualified lawyer within SEA, with minimum 5 PQE
  • Strong legal foundation with the agility to navigate multiple areas of law and adapt to varied challenges.
  • Ideally, experience in real estate, employment law, retail, or FMCG.
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and project management skills.
  • A pragmatic, business‑minded approach with confidence to lead negotiations and deliver clear, actionable advice.
  • High‑quality drafting skills and sound commercial judgment.
  • Strong multiple stakeholders' management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments, balancing multiple priorities without compromising on quality.
  • Integrity, independence, and a proactive mindset-with the discipline to drive matters forward.
  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled tools and interest in emerging legal‑tech applications.
  • Openness to occasional travel.
